If your significant other is going to stay with you in the hospital. Remember they should bring a hospital bag with essentials in them as well.

  1. Mother’s Milk Tea ( If you plan on breastfeeding)
  2. Warm Socks ( Keep in mind hospital are usually cold inside)
  3. Snacks ( Hospital food is not always the best and if you are a snacker like me. Bring snacks)
  4. Chap stick ( My lips were very dry after I gave birth. My body felt dehydrated, which made my lips dry.)
  5. Lose clothes to go home in(Leggings were my best friend after birth. I gave birth vaginally and I received A LOT of stitches.The stitches were not friendly to tight pants/underwear.)
  6. Some type of Entertainment( My daughter slept most of the time in the hospital. My only entertainment was the little TV I had to share with another mother.)
  7. Personal Hygiene Products ( Toothpaste, deodorant,mouthwash, hairbrush, hair tie,lotion, baby wipes for mini bed wash ups. You can find these items in travel size quantity. Travel size items take up less space in your hospital bag.)    
  8. Your Personal Identification Information (  ID card, Insurance card)
  9. Infant Car seat ( Very important)
  10. Warm Baby Clothes ( Blankets, beanies, dress you baby for the appropriate seasonal weather)
